After doing business in Austin, Texas, for over 23 years, business owner Terri Sheets brought her graphic design and publishing business (formerly MediaNation) to Peoria, Illinois, in 2023, and rebranded the business name to Peoria Creative. She and her husband and cats relocated here to be near family and to enjoy all of the wonderful things the mid-west offers such as seasons, lower cost of living, and community. Although she terribly misses TexMex and her favorite grocery store H-E-B, Peoria is home and they are here to stay.

 

Her time networking and building her business in Austin brought a wealth of valuable creative experience serving tech clients such as Motorola, IBM, HP, Red Oak; assisting with the promotional needs of some of Austin's top economic impact and charitable events such as Rodeo Austin, Republic of Texas Biker Rally, JDRF Hope Ball, JDRF Walk, Pink Ribbons Crusade Royal Exhibit (which is now called "Diana" and is permanently housed in Las Vegas, Nevada), Taste of Wimberley; as well as helping many small businesses grow and thrive.

After having spent time in Peoria, it didn't take her long to recognize the lovely qualities the city holds and that it is full of diversity, art, culture, amazing food, and hard working small business owners who are faced with many challenges to keep their doors open. She recognized an important niche she could fill to help ensure small businesses and not for profits remain viable by offering affordable and fractional branding and marketing services.
